CFH-HAC-bA. Charles Edward Alling, Jr., b. Feb. 16, 1875 (Emily 7, Geo. W.6, Augustus 5, Stephen 4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). m. June 1902, Adelaide Durant of New Haven, Conn. He was in the firm of his father, who owned a large lumber mill. They had, I think, four children. I have names of only three. He died about 1926 (?).

CFH-HAC-bb. Eleanor Pierson Alling, b. Nov. 24, 1876 (Emily 7, Geo.W.6, Augustus 5, Stephen 4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). A lovely girl. She m. June 25, 1902, James Willey Todd, who was in the firm of his father, James E. Todd, Builders and Contractors. They resided at 703 George Street, New Haven, on a piece of land which had belonged to her grandfather (Timothy?) Alling's estate, facing on Sherman Avenue. In my early childhood they were a wealthy New Haven family about 1924, Mrs. Todd separated from her husband. Mrs. Todd was Treasurer of the Maltby Association, and in charge of the Family Reunion held at Branford, assisted by her cousin, Grace Tryon Maltby. She died about 1948.

CFH-HAC-bC. Percy William Alling, b. June 5, 1879 (Emily 7, Geo.W.6, Augustus 5, Stephen 4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). m. Elsie Stribinger, about 1911. He was a graduate of Yale University. Married and went to live in Cleveland, Ohio. No children. He died about 1947.
CFH-HAC-bD. Roger Ellsworth Alling, b. Jan. 16, 1882 (Emily 7, Geo.W.6, Augustus 5, Stephen 4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). He was a Yale graduate and a member of the select fraternity of "Cloister." A newspaper clipping, with picture, is headed: "Roger Alling All 'Round Athlete."
"For the second time a New Haven boy has been chosen to Captain the Yale Hockey team. The precedent proved a success for when the first New Haven captain, Ezekiel S. Bronson, fought his season to a close Yale had won a championship. Yale has not won a championship for three years. Roger Alling, captain for next fall, can be depended upon to turn the trick if anybody can.......
Alling is a fine all-around athlete. He won the Yale interscholastic tennis championship three years ago and has been a member of the Hopkins Grammar School baseball nine and of the Eclectics, the summer team of the collegians"........
Mr. Alling was 30 years in the insurance business, he retired in 1952. He m. June 5, 1913, Nellie Manson, of New Haven, dau. of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Manson. Res. (1954) 51 Hepburn Road, Hamden,14,Conn.
